I just heard some female friends talking about a song & the topic along with the song lead to talking about finding a good guy who wasnt a momma's boy & it seems like the definition is different for each woman. Is there consistiency as to what defines a momma's boy?

Ok good to know that being a nice guy doesnt make you a momma's boy. For the way I cook clean do my own laundry & get in trouble with both parents for not calling home enough. Also dont compare anyone's cooking to anyone else's. Thanks for the feed back. I guess as suspected it really is up to the individual person as to if a guy is a momma's boy.

Probably not but there's not much consistency among many terms we use. I would say a momma's boy is someone who always wants to be around his mom. He calls her every day or every other day. He asks her for advice on everything. He compares everything you do to his mom. He is 35 and still lives at home. He depends on her for everything, and sometimes vice versa.

I can't deal with a momma's boy! They never wanna get off the breast and grow up! UGH

If a guy talks to his Mom on the phone at least once a day after leaving the nest, he IS a Momma's boy.

I would classify a mommas boy as one whom never grows up. Mommas coming over to wash his clothes, clean his house and still giving him money to pay his bills and he's still letting momma tell him who to date and calling her for every little thing that doesn't go right for him this is definitely a mommas boy.

Well, living at home past the age of 25 is a good sign. Also, a guy who calls his mother every day (outside of if she's critically ill, of course) and consults her for every single thing. If she still buys his underwear, that's a good sign too. The list is rather long.

Yup - a man who says to you when cooking, or driving or something 'that's not how my mum does it'.

A man who would take her advice over his partners. Or go to her for advice before going to his partner.

Someone who goes to visit and she does all his laundry.

Mama's boy. They don't usually grow up either.
