Loud noises only scare dogs and might make them bark even more because of nervousness. Rewards always work better than punishments, as the dogs might be afraid of you if you are constantly yelling or making loud noises. Rewards, such as dog treats, are a great way to get your dogs to understand and obey. Whenever your dogs stop barking at something that you don't want them to bark at, give them a treat. Don't praise them when they bark, though, because they'll see it as a good thing.
