Tearing can be a symptom of some serious diseases.

In Most cases it's NOT a serious underlying cause.

A common & popular "Ophthalmic Antibiotic Ointment" is extra sterile Neosporin.
The cost is outrageous,,and it's usually only available with a prescription

I have used "plain" Neosporin for years & years in place of it,,with excellent results.
On people, myself, and all sorts of animals,,,,and I know a bunch of other people who use it also.

The only caution is to NOT use it for viral infections,,like herpes infections in eyes.

Here's a commercial remedy for the stains.
It's also got some general info about eye weeping/stains

http://www.angelseyesonline.com/index.htm

Search the internet for info on the Causes of Tearing,,,and the Vet Suggested remedies.

Animals,,,even housepets,,,can get all sorts of eye problems during the course of their life.
Some are systemic,,some are injuries,or foreign objects or other irritants.

You can learn to look at your animal's eye's and make a preliminary judgement.
And learn how to monitor the condition.
NOT for the purpose of REPLACING proffesional health care,,
But for the purpose of avoiding unecessary trips to the Vet.
And more importantly,,knowing when you MUST get a Vet .

Some breeds are prone to tearing & staining.
So are some Individual animals.

In those instances it almost becomes a "care & feeding & grooming" level of care routine.

Those animals are at risk of being ASSUMED to have "just another round of it's routine Eye Watering".

In dogs where it Seems "normal",,,
you Cannot become complacent and accept each episode ,,or any change,,,as being Routine.

It's wise to Learn about the symptoms ,causes,,etc,,and be able to make sound judgements of when the animal Needs a Vet.

Not Kiddin' about Neosporin>>>
http://www.dog.com/information/eydisch.asp

It's a wide-range antibiotic,,and it's Very soothing to irritated eyes.
(Hard to 'bleive a big glob of "vaseline/ petroleum jelly "shoved into the eye is Soothing,,i know,,,--but it really is.)

Nothing/Nobody likes stuff stuck in their eye---it's an instinct to resist.
But let your puppy smell it first to learn what it is.
2nd time you apply it,,Puppy will LET you .
They learn quick that it feels good/gives releif.

*wash and dry your hands First
*Put a Blob on your fingertip
*Hold pup's eye open with one hand,,,and PRESS the ointment into eye.
Just Smush it in.

--Ya dont wanna ,,Wipe it into the eye,,,or rub or smear it in,,,cuz your finger may irritate the eye.
I DO,,I roll eyelid back and pack it in when I beleive it needs the extra amount distributed inside the lids.
But my animals are used to that,,and I've developed the "touch" over many years of doing it.
Most Instances,,,just simply dadding a blob into an eye held open does just fine,,and the animal accepts that type of handling easier
--Q-tips seem like a good idea,,,But I think they are Riskier if the animal Jerks or Struggles,,,plus it may transfer fibers.
--Dont try squeezing it directly from tube either,,,ya dont wanna risk bumping the eye with the tube's end.

Lots of the ointment gets wasted,,,but just smush it in with fingertip.
Dont worry about animal wiping it off,,,,even the little thats left is a plenty adequate 'dose".
It's also safe if they lick it off their paws.

Twice daily has always given me good results.
Often I'll only do it once daily.
3~4 days should be sufficient.

If condition doesnt improve noticeably in a couple days---
Best to take Pup to a Vet.

Sorry for such a long answer,,
But You cannot know NOW if your Pup's current eye weeping is just a One-Time irritation,,,
or if it'll be an Occasional thing thruout it's life,,
or if it'll be a regular occurrence.

Your Budget & Pup's Eyes will stay far healthier from Learning what Ya CAN do,,,and developing a well-founded sense of when to consult a Vet.

Right NOW,,,at least This Time,,It's probably wise to consult a Vet and get a Proper diagnosis and treatment,,,and make certain there's nothing Terrible going on.

If it's just "normal" type of dog/cat eye watering,,
You Can learn how to effectively deal with it yourself.
Cheaper and more Convenient for You,,
I beleive it helps the Bond with animal & vice versa,,
And keeps the Pet in Better condition from receiving more Prompt attention,,,without the stress of being transported to the Vet.

Last thing,,,be aware that in Some instances,,,weeping eyes are sorta "Normal".
It may not be RIGHT,,,but that's just how it IS.
Obviously you DONT wanna try to medicate to "cure" that situation.

In those cases,,,keeping the dogs face clean is what's important.
The moisture allows opportunity for bacteria to grow,,,and it actually Causes a problem.
Products like Angeleyes help in the MANAGEMENT of the condition,,,,without trying to constantly medicate a condition that doesn't call for medication.

Good Luck,,hope any of the above helps

Get your puppy checked by a vet.
Might be an ingrowing hair or poor eyelid formation. Depending on the age of your puppy this can right itself as the puppy ages. Typically white and pale coloured dogs show tear stains under the eye and there are products you can buy to help remove this but you need to check with your vet for an underlying cause first before treating yourself.
My white Akita suffered from droopy eyelids until about 6 months old when his head matured out the problem went away. He always has a slight tearstain mark though as white shows up any marks.
Worst case scenario is your puppy could have entropian and need surgery but this is not overly common in Akita's and your vet will advise you.
Hope all turns out well.

My Akita was diagnosed with an ear infection when he had a runny eye. To get rid of the stain, bath the eye in a weak saline solution (put a small teaspoon of salt in warm water & use a clean cloth to wipe the area around his eye). Do it 2 or 3 times a day. It won't disappear straight away, but will clear up eventually. You can get a product called Diamond Eye, but if it's only a temporary problem you shouldn't need it.

I got identified with herpes virus (type 2) about four yrs ago, whilst I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I know loads of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/QKsiD everything improved.

Not only was I able to eradicate all remnants of the hsv from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system gave me back the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others by sharing this story.

.........................Is he teething with his back teeth? .................. this maybe all that it is and when he stops teething these back teeth then it will get better.

Remember also that the head is getting bigger along with the rest of his body and that the rim of the eyes will be stretching to incorporate this growth, and sometimes little hairs will irritate slightly.

Use baby wipes in the morning to wipe away any muck as part of your daily grooming .

DONT DO WHAT I DID.....
have the puppy sedated and eyes flushed incase of blockages.. vet said no blockages but must have small tear ducts that run the tears into the nose.

I told my breeder and they laughed and told me about the teething and said although not all beagles go through this, many of their strain do, it wouldnt still be happening after teething. and you can use angel eyes or stuff later to remove the stain.

So it maybe the same with your pup too, not a dreadful disease.

Check with your breeder first with many things as they would know.

good luck with him.

There is a whitening gel product that contains a mild bleaching agent. It is applied to the facial hair and left to dry. It takes several applications to work, but will also gently help lift some color from the hair. I think the company that makes it is called #1 All Systems

sounds like an eye infection. call your vet and make an appointment and they will probably give you some antibiotic eye drops to put in her eye for 7-10 days until it clears up.

is there something in her eye like an ingrown hair? sometimes that causes the weeping too.

good luck!
