Why or why not ?

Guys, out there would you accept money as gratuity from a girl that was stuck some where ?

It's common courtesy when given a ride to offer to pay for gas, it doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman. (Especially with the price of gas these days!) I think it would be rude to not offer to pay for gas.

It is not wrong to *offer*, Insisting is annoying. We help people stranded all the time, have big 4x4 and a tow rope, plus my hubby is very mechanically inclined.

sometimes the shoe is on the other foot. A couple of weeks ago we were out on the lake, and our motor died (something electrical). we wound up flagging someone down, and they towed us seven miles back to the marina where we launched. We tried to give them some "gas money", they very politely refused, saying that is how people are around these part, we help each other out. That good feeling, that is the reward. Next time you have the opportunity to help someone, do it.

Note* I would not recommend stopping for stranded motorists if you are a lady alone, too many predators out there.

Just offer and if he won't accept it, then thank him very much. It is not wrong to offer, but he is not wrong to turn down the money.

If he drives you somewhere all the time, say to work everyday, then it would be right to insist on paying your own way, but a one time ride, it is no big deal.

Do what I've done before, make the offer and if he refuses, when he's not looking, tuck the money somewhere in the car where he'll find it later. It's just something to show your appreciation, it'll make you feel better, and everyone can use a little extra cash now and then.

Offering is fine. Insisting is insulting.

There are times when one human being is glad to perform an act of kindness for another human being. Gender is irrelevant. Suppose a girl helped a girl out.... would you be any less likely to offer payment?

Learn this: Sometimes accepting graciously another person's kindness is a way of rewarding them for what they have done for you.

Would depend how far out of his way it was, or what occasion. If it was a lift to the airport, for example, then offering some money would not be a bad thing.

You can only insist to a point. Take it too far and it becomes rude. You have to let people help you out for free sometimes.

I don't think it's wrong. If you really want to help him with some money then sneak it into his pocket or leave it in h is car where he can find it later.

it shouldn't really depend on whether your a man or a woman. if someone helps you and you can repay them then offer. if you cant afford to so or they do not want you to repay them then make sure your there for them in the future when they need help or do something else for them. (i am NOT meaning sexually) or if you don't know them and will never see them again then just make sure they know how greatfull you are.
