Well, I don't understand those people either. You simply can't be both immoral and religious. Everyone is sinful though, and there may be times when we are weakened or fall, but if certain immoral actions are attributed to us time and time again, we're simply blinding our conscience, wearing it out, until a point at which we don't think we're acting immorally anymore. I think this insensitivity of the conscience may be the problem with a lot of people.

Many people make the mistake of thinking that since Christians are striving to be like Christ, that we are these "perfect" people. That is sooo not true. We are regular people just like you, and we do make mistakes too. The only difference is that we realize our mistakes afterwards, whereas some people just go on doing those things without thinking anything is wrong with it. You're right, there are a lot of religious hipocrites. But they are always striving to do better. And if they've been raised thinking that they should go out and drink, then God will one day make them realize that they are not glorifying God by their actions. Christianity is a life-changing process. You are constantly changing your desires into God's. That's all for me. Hope it helps :)

GOD BLESS :)

Everybody is a hypocrite, just religion has alot of contradictions, and some of the ideas are difficult for mere mortals to stick to.

Concerning Christians:

Some flagrantly don't care and sin in open.

Some say they follow Christ, but secretly do not.

Some try but are weak and still make mistakes.

I think that covers everyone--no one is perfect.

just because someone is a christian does not mean they are perfect, they are in a growing process and some things take time to get over ,people need to stop being so critical and always looking for something wrong in a Christian

It's easier to preach what you don't practice and condemn others for things they do.

I am a Muslim and I see this in every faith. And sometimes (when I'm not paying attention) I am guilty of it too.

May Allah save us from hypocrisy.

Religion doesn't make people hypocrites. You seek what you're looking for and you find it. Look for it in your mommy and your daddy, and I guarantee you'll find it there, too.

Self perception is the key - if they don't believe they are being hypocritical, then it's OK.

It's because they are taught that all they have to do is repent the next day and they will be forgiven. Convenient, isn't it?
