Why is it that when a girl is single it seems like its impossible to find someone interested? Then as soon as she becomes attatched the guys seem to be all over her. Why do guys insist on hitting on taken girls? Do involved girls really seem more appealling?

I feel the same when, when I'm dating someone there is no limit to how many guys will hit on you ... Part of it is that every one wants what they can't have, but of course no one can tell your taken before they start to talk to you. I think it has to do with the fact that when you have a boyfriend you tend to be more confident, you're also no worried about what other guys are thinking so it's easier to be your charming self ... this of course is what guys find attractive. So if your single you can't dwell on it, and work on that confidence, because confidence is what makes a girl sexy.

I've been wondering a lot about the same thing, recently. I think it has something to do with the fact that when you are taken, you tend to act more freely and with a lot more self-confidence.
I guess that when guys see these traits in a girl, they instantly become attracted.
Also, when people are involved in relationships, they act a lot more like themselves... Recall back to when you were single and think about how you acted (in reference to when you are taken). Chances are that, when you were single, you acted a lot more cautiously and thought a lot more about what a person of the opposite sex said or did. In contrast, now that you're taken, you don't really care what the other guys think -only what YOUR guy thinks; this makes it a lot easier to be "yourself" around other guys.

It actually has to do with you. A taken girl is more assured in herself. She doesn't have to try to catch anyone's eyes because she already has. That knowedge actually makes women more confident & it shows whether you see it or not. Statistically, women are happier, more self-assured, and laid back when in a relationship than when not. What's NOT to like about that?
Then there's also the "scum" as I like to call them. They're whole goal is getting an ego booster, and ain't nothing better than taken another guy's girl. That shows them that you feel they are somehow better than your current man.
Every guy is different, but having a lot of guy friends, this is generally what I've found.

sometimes some guys think that its ok to flirt and won't be seen as something bad if the girl's already taken - that way the girl won't get emotionally attached to the guy and the guy and still have a good time....
the guy might also be holding you in higher self esteem once he has seen you with someone else he has high regards for... its attraction through the relation and through the status that the relation has earned for you
also - when you're single - some people tend to think you might want to stay single....

It's very much the same with guys who are already taken. Having someone already gives a person an air of confidence which the opposite sex finds attractive.

Two reasons: One, yes, girls who are taken seem more like challenges to guys, challenges that can't be resisted. The other one is that you actually aren't getting hit on *that* much more (usually.) You just now notice whenever it seems like you're getting hit on because you're taken.

Because of the positive vibe given off. It makes someone more attractive when they feel better about themselves and are more confident.

They like the thrill of the chase, a lot of people do stuff like that for no other reason then because its wrong.
