He's still young and immature. He'll either change his mind at the last second or he won't go and you'll have a great time with your g/f during the dance and he'll regret not going, trust me, if he likes you, he'll regret not going.

i am also in junior high and have just had my first dance this guy asked me but i turned him down why should i go out with someone i do not like. at the time i am single, but that did not keep me from going. reality check your in what 7th or 8th grade most people are not even going with a date. i would just go some of your friends are bound to go without a date (have fun)

Ask him another time and if he says no, ask him if he would mind if you went without him, if he says he doesnt mind, go and have a good time. IF he says he does mind then go anyway and tell him that you will see him after, don't let your boyfriend control your actions.

Don't bother him that much just tell him that u had a great time @ the dance and he should have been there, he might just go next time!!!

I GUESS......ALL I CAN SAY IS......HE'S TOO IMMATURE. HE HASN'T GROWN UP YET. HE PROBABLY WANTS TO GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE. YOU SHOULD ASK HIM IF HE STILL HAS FEELINGS FOR YOU......HE IS YOUR BOYFRIEND RIGHT? SET HIM STRAIGHT.
