yes you should go out with him. Dont worry about what everyone else says to you or about you. Just worry about making yourself happy. Their just jealous.

I think you are too young but do what makes you feel right. But do not give away your innocence. You should wait until you are married and with the one you will be with for life. If you start now, imagine how many you will be with before you are married, or even the chances of getting pregnant. You have your whole life to live for yourself then worry about your kids. Enjoy your freedom. Stay in school. Also a guy will respect and like you more if you don't give in. I know guys who are still my friend from the fifth grade because I wasn't easy. Hold on to it. You will thank me later. ;)

Married with two babies. I know.

I know you're going to hate hearing this but you are pretty young. If you're in 6th grade and he's in 5th, often there's a big maturity difference there. Sometimes not though. I don't know, personally I wouldn't dream of dating a younger guy but if you're into him and he's into you then go for iit and don't worry about what everybody else is saying. It'snot like it will last forever and they'll all get over it.

Hey if it's working out for you then it's OK. Don't listen to what other people say. But it might get difficult depending on how your school is set up. If your school goes from K-6 in Elementary School then it will get tough when you go to Jr. High. Unless you live close to him. But I don't know how your school is set up. Just whatever you do DO NOT listen to what people are saying to you. No matter how much they make fun of you just IGNORE them. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Seriously speaking, at that age, relationships are pretty pointless....sorry, I know you hate to hear that, but a real relationship won't happen until at least Jr. High and most likely not until High School or college. I hate to burst your bubble, I'm just telling you as it is. If you want a b/f just to have one, going younger by a year or so isn't bad.

If you really like him like you say you do...and he likes you then you have nothing to loose...go for it...Dont listen to other people because they have nothing to do with you and your love life...If this boy makes you happy an you want to be wit each other then give him a chance...Theres nothing wrong with dating younger people...Age aint nothing but a number...And wow whats a year younger then you???? Thats nothing..I think you should listen to your bestfriend and dont pay attention to what other people say because they dont know what yur heart feels..

Your friend is right. If you like him then go for it. No matter who you date someone will have a problem with it. One year is not a big deal.

its fine that you like him, and take no notice of others, why are they so age prejudice.

but do remember that girls mature faster than boys, so while he's only 1 year younger, he may seem far younger in his actual ways

good luck
