Read all this info about why new Toyotas suck http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Akp9m.18WXAYVsvXAnfMrsgjzKIX?qid=20070301210328AAn8E5d
The guy above me makes a good point, in Edmunds.com test they chose the mid-level interior on the Silverado over the top of the line Tundras interior. They said the Tundra won, but it wasnt even competition because the Toyota was top of the line, while the Silverado was a midlevel. The interior on a Silverado is really nice, especially the high end ones.

I've heard that they will be available at the end of March, at least in the Northeast.
I agree with some others about the new look of the Tundra. It will take a little getting used to. I currently own an 03 Tundra Access Cab Stepside and LOVE IT. It just got too small in the back seat for my kids.
Here is where the Tundra and the competition will be different. Shop time !!!!
SOOOOOO many friends with their Chevy and Dodges, always in the shop for serious issues. Never once with my Tundra, and thats after hauling my 30' Starcraft camper around New England a few years. I am thrilled Tundra towing is rated at 10,000 plus. This will just make my job easier.
Look around the constuction sites today. I just came from the lumber yard this morning, and took special notice as to the amount of Toyotas in use.
If these guys didn't like 'em, they wouldn't be using them.

Chevy Silverado... 2007 Motor Trend and NACTOY Truck of the Year. Toyota Tundra, hmmm... NOTHING. The Silverado can also tow 16000+ pounds when fully equipped, the most towing capicity of any pickup. The Silverado has by far the nicest interior ever for a GM, and the nicest in a pickup. Dodge is nice too, but not as reliable as a GM. Anyone who buys a Ford pickup is just over-compensating, they are true pieces of junk that now look uglier than ever.

They are available now if you can get past the ugly! Seriously though, they are not all they are hyped to be. They ride awful, are built flimsy. The only bright spot is the optional engine, and it is not going to be in many because of the price. By the time you equip one nicely, you may as well just buck up & get a Lincoln LT

I heard that it has been discontinued due to lack of interest. All the REAL working men in this country would never show up on site with a Jap truck!
