I chose VPI (veterinary pet insurance). I provided the link to their website below. This was also the insurance recommended by my vet. For full coverage (including cancer and annual shots and meds), it is about $350 per animal per year. That may seem a lot, but I can assure you, your own health insurance is FAR more expensive! Plus, if your pet is injured, you'll save a fortune with this insurance.

They have quite a bit of detail on their website, but feel free to call them. I did and they talked for around 20 minutes happily answering every question I had, with no high pressure sales talk. The person I spoke to was also a client!

You can search around, but I feel this is a good start. I'm going to be filing a claim soon to get refunded for some medicines.

Oh, and I should warn you, pet insurances aren't like human. That is, you don't go to a doctor, have him/her charge your insurance and you just pay the remainder. With pet insurance, you pay the vet fully, then file a claim and are reimbursed. So be prepared for this.
