For the first time since becoming a Christian, I didn't pray or take the time to study God's word in the morning like I usually do because I was in a bad mood and felt doubts creeping in. I posted a question here about "women's issues" that were testing my patience and emotions.
Within 45 minutes, I happened to receive an email newsletter from a woman's health website talking about the EXACT same problem that had been troubling me all day! My questions were answered and I felt such relief.

I think it's a sign that I need to keep my faith, don't you?

laugh if you want to, but I think it's amazing how my problem prevented me from praying, I felt doubts about faith, I was beginning to question how I could keep living this way... and coincidence or not, I received an email that dealt with the exact problem, which completely eased my mind.

PS I do read the Bible every day and also listen to sermons. Except today I didn't because my problem distracted my thoughts and disrupted my routine,

Yes, it might be a sign (i.e. help from God). Sounds like it.

And I just want to say that as Christians, we can fall into two dangers:

1. Not spiritualizing things enough...this leads to pride
2. Spiritualizing things too much...this leads to being a "spooky" Christian

I think you know what I mean.

We can begin to over-spiritualize everything and try to make associations that aren't actually there sometimes. Or we can fail to recognize the hand of God in our lives, or on the other end of that, we can pretend that temptation isn't real.

We can call things that are really blessings "coincidences" or "luck". Or we might assume that God isn't doing His job, so to speak, when something happens because we do something wrong.

However, I think it's important to err on the side of caution. In other words, if you think something is a blessing, it probably is, and God should probably get the credit, as long as it doesn't contradict Scripture. I think, for me at least, I tend to take the credit for things that God ought to get the credit for. That's why I try to thank Him for everything.

Well, it's a learning process. I hope you got something positive out of all that. :P

God bless.

Christians can not live their lives based on emotions and random chance. Does God work situations? Yes. But are you aware that if you are a Christian, that God has sacrificed His life for you so that you would become His child?

I would suggest this. Read the bible (at least a little) every day. And listen to an online sermon every day or every other day. You become what you feed on. If you feed on the goodness and righteousness of God's Word, then your life reflects what is on the inside. If you feed on TV, worldly music, movies, magazines, or other things, then that's what you begin to reflect.

Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness... and everything will fall into place, and you won't have to worry about bad moods or doubts, because you'll be in a loving relationship with your lord and savior.

well don't take this as offense but the Jesus said that a corrupt generation will look for a sign. yes it may be true that God did this but it doesn't matter you should never let how you feel stop you from reading the Bible or praying. the Bible said you should meditate on the Word daily. this means that you should read the Bible everyday. i think that next time you are in a bad mood pray to God, ask him to guide you to what will make you happy. Being wrathful is not the way of the Lord.

i don't know about it being a sign, but, God does have a funny way of easing our worries, usually by educating us.
i think it's very neat that you received the answers you were looking for.
don't feel as if you are losing faith just because you are not faithful to read and study your bible or pray everyday. we are not all perfect! you'll be fine, He understands! God Bless!!!

It may well be that you are the only woman who is interested in that particular topic and the cosmos responded to you and your concerns by some metaphysical means, or possibly, the issue about which you had a question is one which happens to be current.

Which seems more logical to you?

Could be! God works in mysterious ways, and sometimes God acts quickly--He knows the right time he needs to answer us, when we are ready to hear Him.
Did the answer you received glorify Him? I mean is it something that would be of God?
