Here i am again?

Question

well, i need answers! my mom has been sick for now almost 6yrs with arthuritus (full body), my sister is like gone 24/7, dad is work no fun, gandma is downstairs and talks to hardly anyone, and im just stuck here in the middle. i'm seriously deppressted! maybe im goin crazy! but all i know is that my mom might die soon. what should i do?
btw: my mom is only 47.

Is it possible to seek medical attention in you local area? Please try to do so. Also, try and talk to your whole family about the situation. Don't be depressed, it's nice to know you care.

Ask your family doctor if it is your depression that is making you think that your mom might die soon or if that is a true fact. Doctors can't guarantee anything (even if someone will recover from a cold, yet people recover from colds anyway) but they do treat arthritis. Try to get a true picture of your mother's illness. Also, make an effort every day to talk to your grandmother; she may need someone to talk to; she might be depressed just like you. Your dad does have to work but maybe you could ask your sister to go shopping with you once in awhile or do something like eat dinner together. I guess my point is, just keep trying, one thing after another. I'm so sorry about your mother - especially for her, not only your family. 47 is very young to have a severe illness.Your family doctor could be a big help if you tell him just what you wrote here.

You are way to young to shoulder this burden, so talk to your parents about what you are feeling, your mom will not die from Arthritis, but depression that can be a killer if it goes
untreated, you can only deal with your stuff so if your sister is not pulling her load let dad deal with her he is very capable of handling that issue. but promise you will have talk with your parents and get some help for yourself, however if you just cant then call the boys and girls club or crisis center to talk
and ask for other options to assist you

Have you tried the school counselor, you would be surprised what they can help with.

Is Grandma ...HER mom? It's almost impossible to imagine if I had to watch one of my 5 kids die so horribly!

Equally, it's a pain to watch your mom die while everyone seems so outta place and outta touch. I would like to think if I were dying, my children would be as worried about me as you are about her. Crying,... hard to type. Wish I could hug you to pieces!!!! e-mail please

I am Sorry to hear about your mother! But what I can tell you is that my home life is not the easiest also you just have to make every day count and do the best with what you have. I hope that things get better!

Don't worry so much! Speak with your mother's doctor or nurse to make sure where her health stand. And then see how you can help.

Do not over work yourself in thinking, worrying. Talk to someone soon. (look in your neighborhood for counseling).

Take care of yourself, if your mother needs you , you will need to be strong and healthy. What good are you if broke down just thinking about it.

I have a very severe form of arthritis, my doctor assured me it won't kill me. So I'm sure it won't take your mom either.
Can you go to your school councilor and talk about all this? Seems a bit unfair for someone your age to deal with.
