a new acquaintance of my sister's keeps saying erobosi - does anyone know what it means? He said it is Greek.

he probably meant something like erovassia=making love, in a very formal way. maybe he said proposi= a toast (to). if this was said on the table, yes, it means a toast to s/g. let's make a proposi, means let's drink to something, or let's rise glasses to s/g. proposis=before drinking, make a wish.-

The only word that I can think of is erromenos which means very beloved, like a fiancee or something.

I am from Greece and there is no such word.may be your sister didn't hear it correctly or maybe you should try a different spelling...
