I have BPD and i understand how you feel. I've been suicidal for years always passively but more and more it gets to the point of coming up with plans which is the point when it becomes esp. dangerous and needs to be worked on in therapy or through hospitalization. Something I think that has always held me back is thinking about how terrible my mother would feel we don't have a great relationship and i knw she would blame herself and it would probably send her to an early grave. I also think about how people would call me a wimp for taking the easy way out and i've worked my whole life thus far to be able to prove that i was strong and resilient and i don't want to through that all away bcus i'm depressed. You always hear it but it never kicks in but trust me it's the truth, life does get better, everything does with time and proper treatment. So before you decide to take your life please work towards fixing it. Talk to anyone who will listen and get professional counseling. If you need me I am only an email away and I will be more than happy to listen to you vent, cry, or even offer advice.. hang in there.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It is likely that if you see a counselor or therapist (incl. a guidance counselor at school) they can help you work through the issue(s) and resolve whatever it is that is bothering you. Often the process is not overnight, but there is much joy and satisfaction in this kind of personal journey. You also may want to think about engaging in distracting activities...spending time with friends, listening to music, getting involved in activities, playing sports or an instrument, talking with people you trust, whatever you enjoy. Do you have any goals? Perhaps writing a list of things you would like to see/do, and concentrating on bringing these things to life....it really works! Lots of love to you.

Thinking about suicide is never a wise choice. It's cliched, but suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem if you are feeling suicidal call the suicide hotline at 1-800-784-2433 or 1-800-273-8255. You might also tell a parent or a friend who can take you to the hospital. Life can be very amazing & beautiful. I know it can be hard to see sometimes, but life really is worth living. I wish you much luck.
