He will probably win at least one race, however he lacks the consistency to make the chase.

I don't see him making the Chase. He just isn't near consistent enough to consider a threat. I don't know why there has been such a FALL OFF for Newman and that #12 team but DAYUM! They went from hot, to not just like that! It's weird... Penkse needs to do some major over-hauling because something just isn't right there. Even Busch and the #2 team have fell off alot. I like Flyin Ryan Newman.. But maybe a change in teams is what he needs...
Oh yea, and as far as winning a race this year.. I think its possible.. He could be a darkhorse winner.. Look for it @ tracks like Dover, and Michigan

Ryan Newman will win 2 races this year but will not make the chase......he is not that competitive and he has a habit of not putting together a string of top 5's and top 10's

Newman is a good driver -- he's not a great driver right now. A couple of years ago, he had the spark and the edge to do it. Right now, I think he's kinda got Kyle Petty syndrome -- driving racecars is his job -- some days he does better than others but at the end of the day, he's just making laps and earning a paycheck.

Newman has a better chance at growing a neck than he has of making the Chase. I'm thinking around 14th. (IMHO)

newman makin the chase not happening good driver but not in right equipment and he needs to grow some nuts just steering the car wont win races

if you are a newman fan, you won't be happy with this one. I don't think they will be consistent or win a race. They will miss the chase because without Borland, there is no chemistry. There is no teamwork. He would need to be lucky and win one on fuel mileage, but he can't without Borland

I think he will win at least once, and have a chance to make the chase.
I don't think he will do until later on in the year because of the crew chief change, he's in too good of equipment and a decent driver, so i think he will pull it off.

I don't think it will be this year, but it will be a future year, due to adding 2 cushion spots to the chase for 12 to be in.
