The Gracie's are great but the rest of the elite fighters caught up to them. Just look at Hughes vs. Gracie.

Bob Sapp would have been too big and strong for Royce. Royce wouldn't have been able to take him down or put a submission on him. We know Royce isn't a good striker so he'd have no weapons to fend off Sapp.

The Gracies no longer have that competitive advantage over the rest of the fighters. At best they are now just average in the MMA world.

Royce Gracie

Royce Gracie would win no doubt. Royce grew up fighting, he was born doing armbars!

And has Bob Sapp (350lbs)ever been at his best?? I think his best was when he was playing football. He isn't a fighter, he's a brawler! No technique, just strength. Royce would be able to handle him no worries, look at when he fought Akebono, 507lbs he subbed him 1st round in 2mins 13secs

Bob Sapp got ***** slapped by Cro Cop and he pulled a face like a crying Baby! He was just put on Pride events to look good, but he never did.
Alot of people were Calling him Bob Sopp!!

OK first off Hughes vs. Gracie should be counted as an exhibition match because Royce is like 39 & has been out the fight game for sometime before taking that fight & like Shamrock before him, he hasn't caught up to today's MMA fighter cause he really doesn't look to compete anymore.

As per your question, Royce would win cause Bob Sapp is more of a Tank Abbott like fighter in which he looks to end fights with one good punch.

Was Royce Gracie a better fighter than Sapp will ever be? Yes. But I don't think he was strong enough to do an armbar or kimura on someone as strong as Sapp. Akebono was 500 lbs of fat. Sapp is 350 lbs of solid steroids.

Sapp would put Royce in hospital.

Nogueria is consider to be some of the best BJJer in the world and have very good boxing and chin of steel. Plus Nogueria is bigger and stronger than Royce.

But when Nogueria and Sapp fight, eventhough Nogueria won, he have to go to hospital for a night.

Now imagine what Sapp would do to someone who isn't even as strong or big as Nogueira.

Royce.
Hes too clever to get trapped and thumped by Bob.
Royce has taken on and beaten fighters close to Bobs size.
