There is no way to tell if the dog is pure bred. At least with papers it gives the buyer a sense of security (even though it still doesn't mean full blooded). A buyer always sets cost. You can ask whatever you want, but unless you come across a highly uneducated buyer willing to pay for an un-papered dog. You might as well give it away to a free and GOOD home.

Full Blooded Mastiff

The answers to this question unfortunately will be indefinite due to each individual's upbringin. (Not intended disrespectfully) Thing is, mastiffs are (in my opinion of the breed) exceptional companions for the right owners therefore creating a very large market for them. the only real conflict i have with the different answers is solely biased towards the "CAN'T DO" ones. First off, if they couldn't establish breed percentage, then i suppose this question wouldn't need an answer. I own and breed mastiffs myself. Both registered and not. reasons being, quite a few of the serious mastiff admirers / owners prefer establishing their own distinctive bloodlines. Lol....long answer short. research registered mastiff prices. then research the costs of the required blood and DNA tests. as well as the costs of any possible legal requirements for certification of said information . Now, reg. mast. price-blood/DNA -legal : approximate non-reg. mastiff price!

English Mastiffs RULE!

I can’t give you an exact dollar amount, but I can tell you that no dog will sell for much without papers (unless of course they are trained to do some kind of complicated work). Dogs without papers go for hundreds less than dogs with papers. You probably aren’t going to be able to ask more than $100 for him, if that. After all, anyone can just go to the Humane Society and adopt a purebred without papers for a tiny fraction of that.

Do you have proof the parents are full blooded? If so, you can probably sell them, but not for more than a few hundred dollars! Otherwise I'd sell them for the cost to cover the vet visits for it's puppy shots and first check.

too be honest even though he/she isnt registered you can ask however much you want as it is your dog! if people dont want to buy him/her they just wont call you. if you lived where i do i have seen in the paper people selling buggles etc for over $1000 which really makes me mad selling mutts for that price and acting like they are pure. but again if you must sell your dog id sugest selling him for a higher price as it will usually get rid of the less saviour people. people will not like my answer but lets get really i am a breeder and breed reg'd ch.dogs but your dog might not be purebreed but that doesnt make him less of a dog because he isnt registered he is still your dog so find him the best home possible.!!

And how are you going to prove it's a purebred without papers?

how do you know he is pure bred?? you REALLY DON'T,,,, if he was properly bred ,, his breeder would have had the litter registered etc..... give your dog away and stop looking to make a buck on a poorly bred dog. NEUTER HIM
