Just curious...
How much does a passenger Airbus A320 (around 160 seats) cost, and what is its fuel consumption. (how many liters/gallons of fuel does it burn per hour?)

I can't address what an A320 will cost because it will vary from airline to airline. Each airline will configure the airplanes that they buy differently. Some choose more options and others choose less. The cost will vary depending on how many are in the order, financing and spare parts to be included.
Our A320's are configured for 148 seats, again, other carriers may do it differently. As far fuel burn goes, a flight from Chicago O'Hare (ORD) to Minneapolis-St.Paul (MSP) was flight planned for 1:05 minutes plus a 15 minute taxi time. Taxi fuel was 500# and burnoff for the airborne portion of the flight was planned at 6,900 #. The total fuel load that I signed for on that trip, including alternate, some contingency, and reserve was 16,900#. Est. take off weight that day was 138,100#. Approx. 137 pax.

Typical fuel flows for an A320 at cruise will run between 5500# - 6500# depending on weight and altitude.

These numbers came from an old flight plan of mine that I found laying around.

What matters to the airlines - although the AIRBUS A320 is a superior airplane systemswise - the dated 737NG can still fly higher, longer and faster than the A320 - this is an example of AIRBUS concentrating on technology and not performance. The 737 has a lower operating cost per seat mile because they have been making them for soooo long, that parts are extremely cheap - AND the 737 weighs 2000lbs less than a comparably equipped A320. 2000lbs is too hard to wash with hand waiving arguments about technology. Remember - you have a triple weight penalty with airplanes..
