God has already answered this for us.

Genesis 6:5 "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
...
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. 13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood ...."

Even the evil people of the earth should be thankful there are still some faithful Christians scattered around the world. I am sure if the earth got to the point that it was in during Noah's days, God would destroy His creation again.

We have to remember God lets us choose to do whatever we want, but there are consequences for our actions. Not only is God LOVING, He is also JUST.

Think about it -- figure it out.

Because he detests our sin. Humans were so sinful that God couldn't imagine us ever being able to do otherwise.

He decided he would start creation over and try again, but Noah found favor in God's eyes, because Noah lived by the word of God. So God decided he would spare Noah and his family and let them repopulate the earth.

After the flood, God said that all men have evil in them and promised to never flood the earth again and gave us the rainbow as a reminder of his promise to us.

EVERYONE (even back then) sins! So what, Noah got drunk once, if that's the worst he ever did, praise the Lord!

Suffering is the result of human sin.
The world is not the way that God created it. And because of that, all are vulnerable to the affects of sin in the world. Why does one person suffer and another does not?
Why do catastrophes happen to some and no others?
It is because sin is in the world.
But there will come a day when the Lord will return and cleanse this world of all sin and all suffering.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:4).

Consequently Jehovah saw that the badness of man was
abundant in the earth and every inclination of the thoughts of
heart was only bad all the time...And Jehovah felt regrets
that he had made men in the earth, and he felt hurt at his heart.(Gen.6:5,6)So you see back then people had the same
opportunity they have today.'listen to the good news thats
being preached in the entire inhabited earth. And not be
destroyed like the people in Noah's day were.

Because Noah was the only one who obeyed God, regardless of how he behaved after the Flood. The world was completely full of evil people (much like today), so God was doing them a favor by putting them down, like a bad dog.

because all of mankind except Noah had turned their back on Him. God also made a promise afterwards that He would not flood the earth again
