The object of the tea diet is based around the caffeine/energy blend nutrients - it doesn't matter what you are led to believe. Caffeine is a stimulant, and the whole idea is that it suppresses your appetite while giving you some energy. It doesn't make you not want to eat altogether, but just less frequently.
It works for some, not for others - as with all diets.

You drink nothing but green tea or white tea all day long. Not very healthy. You should drink Milk Tea to do this diet instead. The milk will provide the protein your body needs during the day, plus the essential milk fat and calcium as well. An all Tea diet should never extend beyond fasting for two days, and drinking one full glass of Milk Tea as replacement for a normal meal each day. And if you feel hungry, have a tiny snack inbetween meal times while fasting - eat some real food - do not force yourself - when your body says "needs food" it usually means your body is missing something essential that you have to replace ASAP. Take plenty of vitamins while fasting and drinking the teas. Do NOT overdrink otherwise you will get WATER POISONING. This is a REAL thing where you can quickly DIE from drinking too much liquids.

What!Do u mean drink nothing but tea?That'd b crazy!I've lost alot of weight over the past yr.&,I drink diet & green tea every day w/my diet.Laci Le Beau Super Dieters Tea works great.U can get it at some Wal-Marts or GNC.Here's there web site www.lacilebeau.com.I weighed about 200 pounds a yr ago.So,it's worked great 4 me!*

theres something better than a tea diet! wu long tea (look it up) 4-5 cups a day have 3 meals , 500 calorie breakfast , 500 calorie lunch, 200 calorie dinner,the tea burns the fat that just wont buge, and totally detoxes you , and stops you having hunger pangs , amazing!

I'm guessing it is, but all liquid diets are bad!! your body needs solid food to be able to function properly! If you go on a liquid diet, what hapens is your body goes on survival mode, meaning it burns waay less claories because it thinks your going to starve it, so it needs to conserve calories! Which is the exact opposite of what you want to do! But if you eat a well balance diet, you will burn more fat, because your metabolism will go up, because It knows you will feed it the right way!

oolong is not much different than green tea. The health benefits are the same. It contains antioxidants and EGCG to prevent some illnesses and is good for your well being. oolong is slightly more oxidized than green tea, and less oxidized than black tea. it has caffeine and I think oprah promoted one TYPE of oolong tea (wu-yi) to lose weight. Hence, the fad began. All tea is good for you though.
