My son has been geting tonsilities the last two times at the doctors its always the same !!!! It get's annoying but I only do it for my son but anyways I wondering if i as the parent ask the doctor for them to be removed due to that he gets them quit freq. and is missing alot of school? SOMEONE HELP?

It's not good to jump to surgery so fast as a solution. To be annoyed by this doesn't make you look to good. Afterall it's your son thats suffering.
It's possible this could be a symptom of something else. I used to get sinus infections constantly and have a sore throat more than often, somtimes strep throat, worse usually around Feb. Then I found out I had Lyme disease.
Try taking him to an allergist to get him tested. That might be your problem right there. Maybe he's got allergies thats causing the infection (especially since you say it's the same time) and taking allergy shots can help reduce the flare ups.

My daughter just had her tonsils removed. I went through the same as thing that you are going through with her doctor. The best thing to do is to go to an ENT( Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist. I have been in and out of the ER and her doctor's office for a year and received the same story..Schedule an appointment with the ENT and let me know what happens..

They only take the tonsils out if you get tonsillitis 3 or 4 times in one year. If you are concerned talk to his doctor about his options!

Our son (between the ages of 6 - 8) kept getting tonsilitis. We were finally referred to an ENT and he told us that he was what they call a "Strep carrier" and immediately wanted his tonsils out. After that, he was never bothered again.

you should talk to a doctor about getting them removed, if hes in high school missing alot of school could be a problem, but one you get them removed he shouldnt miss any more days due to tonsilitius!
