He has had alot of problems with his eye and just found out he has 20/40 vision. He is about to be sent to Iraq, is there any way they might discharge him or hold him back? I dont want him to go and he is having problems seeing. It's dangerous. Im worried.

I never said he was using it as an excuse! Im not asking for negative comments either!

That is why they make eye glasses and contacts.

He can't use that as an excuse.

I have 20/400 vision, and had to get a medical waiver to join the Navy, but they still want me.

sorry lady but my vision is much worse and they sent me. I adapted by using contacts and having my navy issued glasses as a back up in case of emergencies.

My vision is twice as bad as his and I'm fine with corrected lenses.

He sees good in one eye and twice as good in the other. Just wish him luck and may God bless him.
