..I half-*** it by continuing to eat unhealthy foods. What I would like to know is what should one eat when they are looking to build muscle vs. trying to lose weight. I have no problems with my body as it is, but I'm just curious as to what I can really look like if I put more effort into it.

Eat things low in fat and high in protein. Tuna is a good source for this. Protein bars for a snack are good. Be sure to drink a lot of water since your muscles are mostly water.
