I met a guy online and we have now been dating in person for a few weeks. I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas as what to do for his birthday? I'd appreciate all the help I could get! Thanks!

Try to figure out his favorite food and take him out to dinner.

personally, i REALLY love holidays/birthdays... they are a chance for me to do something super special for someone else!

my boyfriend's birthday is in april, the 8th -- unforunately we work for his birthday and there are other complications for other weekends, so we're going to celebrate it on march 24th. just like you, i was stuck.. i had no idea what to do for him!

but then it hit me!

the best way to pick out gifts/plan something special for anyone is to play up on things you know they already like.

for example, a few weeks ago my boyfriend had french food for the first time. he fell in love with it! he didn't eat anything for 2 days and talked about nothing else for a week. so i decided to take him to a super expensive french restaurant. i also sort of played a game with him.. every morning i'd leave an envelope with a letter in it inside his car, it'd give him a clue about where we are going (the city, the time, the dresscode, the average price on the menu, 3 "types" of food they serve, ect.) he LOVED the game, and when i finally told him he was the most excited man on the planet!

if you don't want to take him anywhere and you want to buy him something, think about the things he likes..

does he play playstation or xbox? maybe get him a video game that he's been wanting..

does he love music/movies? get him a cd he's missing from his collection, or a new release he wanted to see but didn't get a chance to in theaters.

just make it special and work around the stuff you KNOW he'll like.. even it's a cake, a card, and a kiss ;)

How old are you? I have differing opinions for different age groups. Teen: A card, maybe a video game. Twenties and up: A card and something sweet but cheap, or type up and print out a "gift cerificate" for a home cooked meal or something sexy.

I would get him a CD he's really been wanting, or you could give him a gift card to Best Buy - that's always a good gift for a guy. Good luck, hon!

Since you've been dating him for only a couple weeks now you guys probably haven't done that much stuff togather, so I say you should do something you've never done with him before including going somewhere you've never went before.

Tie a red bow around your waist, with a sign that says "Open when ready!"
