ugh... It seems parents talk about their kids ages in months until about age 2... after that I think they should use whole numbers. Unless there is more than 1 child, then I think the kids ages get to the whole number stage more quickly....

30 months is 2 1/2 but since during the first few years there's a difference month to month some people go by months just like people will say 10 weeks instead of 2 1/2 months. I went by months until my daughter turned 3 now I don't say 38 months I say 3 years old.

My husband and I CAN NOT STAND the month thing!! I have a 4 month old and when he turns a year, he'll be one year old...not 12 months. Instead of 18 months, why can't they just say a year and a half. I don't go around saying I'm 331 months!! I'm 27.

I say 2, I don't know why some people insist on counting in months, I think it is stupid past 2 years of age.

some want everyone to know exactly how old their baby is. My daughter is 7 weeks and I tell everyone that shes 2 months.

I agree. After turning two.......they are just TWO! If you are 30, do you say "I'm not 30, I'm 360 months old!"
