Mirror for Jeep with doors off & inside dome light...???

Question

Where can I find mirrors for my 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara for when I take my doors off?

Also, when I take my doors off, is there anyway to turn the dome light off?

For the mirrors I would try Ebay for the cheapest price but go to Quadratec.com to find more types of them. Quadratec has some that will mount in the hinges after the doors are taken off or some that will mount to the windshield hinge bolts. For the light you can pull the fuse behind the glove box to turn it out. Look in your owners manual and in the section where it explains how to remove your top and doors it will tell you which number fuse to pull. Or Quadratec carries a "TJ Dome Light Switch" for $25 that plugs in one time and all you have to do after that is flip a rocker switch to turn the lights off each time your doors are removed. Try turning the light switch right and left. Some models operate the dome light. So if you are lucky you can turn yours off from there.

If you plan to keep the vehicle for another year then
Get a Haynes Repair Manual at the local Auto Zone or auto parts store in your area. It will troubleshoot and show you how to fix your vehicle. Also on the Auto Zone site has a section for vehicle maintenance

Check www.jcwhitney.com for the mirrors. For the door light switch, there's a switch cover that prevents the light from coming on. That is probably also available at JC Whitney, or you can make your own from a piece of metal using a screw to anchor it in place.

quadratec.com sells mirror relocation brackets that re-use your existing mirrors or sells mirrors outright that utilize the door hinges. they also sell a little spring clip that attatches to the door pin swith to defeat the dome light. i just take out the dome light's bulb

take out the glove box and pull fuse #4 that will do it and you can still turn the lighs on with the headlight swich if you have a stick and you put a fuse in the auto trans space you can start the jeep with out pushing the clutch in.
