ok i have this friend and we have been great friends for a long time now and everytime i go to see we always sit close to each other and then sometimes he'll put his head on mine and he buys me breakfast just for the two of us and he always wants a hug from me adn he calls me buttercup and hun all the time..
does this mean that we should be more then friends?

Ok, either he is extremely flirty for a guy, or he is completely crazy about you if he acts like that. The best thing to do if you are that close to him is to simply ask him, honestly, how he feels.
However, the question is if you feel that way about him. If you don't then you might not want to ask if you value the friendship.

Its worth a try if you like him like that then just ask him next time you see him if yall should be more than just friends, but i will warn you if he turns you down yalls friendship might not be the same

Maybe, but if it were true and he was a man he would make the first move, just be really receptive of his flirts and hints and if you are interested give some of your own, and he should come around...

With friendships, if he is a dear friend, then it would be best to keep it at a friendship level. Dating will only complicate your friendship and eventually cost you a friend.

Wouldn't hurt to ask him if you and him are taking your relationship a little further. By the sounds of it, he wants more than friendship.
