There is never a truley "nice" way to tell someone that yopu dont want to be with them anymore, but i guess there are some ways to say it that are nicer than others. For example you could take the honset route and tell them exactly how you feel (dont attack them as a person however) or you could just let them know that you have enjoyed their company very much, but there are just somethings that you need to work out by yourself and that "alone time" is best and the only way you feel for both of you to not get hurt is to end it now before you become too distant. Like i said, its not going to be "nice" no matter what but it depends on the situation at hand, and i wish you the best of luck.

i hate you and wish you where dead and the baby isnt yours it is your friends or im in love with some else and they are better in bed than you in fact they even better looking than you because you are scum and im a a god and i need to be treated like a god and have a packet of chewing gum brought to me on a magic fluffy pillow with 14 cat hairs and a jug of apple pear plum type drink stuff

There is no nice way, just break it off clean. They always end badly, otherwise they wouldn't end.

take them to a casual resturant, and break it to them easy. say that you've loved being 2gether(even if u haven't, w/e) and then b prepared for the water works!
