Recently me and my ex started hanging out again and he likes me , but he says he has to be convinced that he should go back out with me to go back out with me. I like him alot. Can you give me tips on how to get him back?? or should I play hard to get?? help??

Why would you want to be with someone who you have to "convince" to be with you? Even if I told you what to do to get this guy, it wouldn't work out because a) he doesn't respect you, and b) you don't really respect yourself too much. Do yourself a favor and find someone who will value and treasure you and try to convince you that HE is worthy of YOUR time! Most guys like to do the chasing, and only play with, use and disrespect girls that chase them. I know you don't want to hear this, but I know from experience things won't work out the way you hope with this guy, so please leave it at just friends status. Don't learn the hard way with your heart in your hands later. I recommend a book by Greg Berhendt (he has his own show now) called "He's Not That Into You".

If you guys have gone out once before then he knows what you have to offer. Why would you want to be with someone you have to convince. It's not a game it's your heart we are talking about. Let me tell you what he is really saying because he is saying two things:
1) You have to convince me to "want" to be with you. You have to sell yourself to me so I can see if you are worth buying.
2) You have to convince me so if I hurt you later you have only convinced me for a little while and if I hurt you later it's your fault because your convincing was not good enough.
I don't care how you think or know you feel about him do you want to be with someone who is asking you to be with them that way.
I don't know how old you are but all of my male friends from high school up into my now mid 20's have always told me you don't have to ask, beg, plea, convince, or justify why a man should be with you because if a man truly wants to be with you he will let you know in more ways then one. If a man wants to be with you there is nothing you should have to do why do you think a proposal is such a surprise because unless the marriage will be circumstanced it's the man who knows with everything he has in his heart he wants to spend the rest of his life with that women, and she did not have to do anything that's why it's normally a surprise because she knew he loved her but she did not know how much until he asked for her hand in marriage. The same thing kinda applies to a relationship only he knows anything other then that is just a game and a waste of you time.

Anybody that has to be convinced to go back out with you certainly isn't thinking about your feelings.
Don't you want better for yourself? Guys that play these wishy washy games are actually very insecure and immature.
Raise the bar higher for yourself. There are a ton of wonderful people out there that I am sure you could meet and have a blast with.
I know you like him, however, he doesn't sound like much of a gentlemen to me....more like a dickweed.
