I have quit smoking and I am using a nicorette inhalator. How long should I use this for before I completely cut out nicotine?

Already you are doing something that is safer than smoking, so better not to rush rather than fall at the last hurdle. The problem is it is the addictive stuff that you are still using.

It doesn't matter if you spend 8-12 weeks getting the insufflator dose down, as long as you don't take even one cigarette!

Hmm.... tricky one.

Yes, it would be ideal if you could just quit now, test your willpower a little and be all the more healthy for it... however, its more likely that if you wean yourself off slowly your body will get used to having less and less nicotine and in theory your cravings should be easier to control.

If your pharmacist prescribed the inhaler he or she should have instructed you on how long to use if for.. Even better would be to go and see a nurse at your doctors surgery who will be able to give you a specific plan of when and how long to use the inhaler for...

Otherwise its just good to remember to gradually decrease its use over a week or two, dont use it regularly and then just stop - it will defeat the purpose of using it (and you could end up with cravings for the inhaler AND cigarettes)!

GOOD LUCK!!

Dont wait any longer!!!!!!!! Cut the nicotine out of yur life k. Dont try anything that has nicotine in it. It damages yur body and makes yur lungs look nasty. Dont chew it, dont smoke it, dont inhale it, and dont drink it. You can get any sickness from that. GOOD LUCK! STAY HEALTHY!
