It's normal.. I hope. I call this "the blahs". Like, during Algebra.. I would just be sort of looking at one spot.. not really knowing what is going on.. yet I would wake up from this at the end of class and forget everything she said. lol I always forget what I'm watching during commercials. Maybe we just have a memory deficiency..

If you are on medications or a new one, this could easily be the cause. You did not state how long these symptoms have ailed you. If these are new then you should think about what is going on in your life that maybe is blocking your recall or focus. Even if this is a new or old reoccurring issue, I would suggest you see a doctor immediately to help you before something bad happens that you have no control over, since your memory is not functioning correctly. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I have two kids..one is 3 and the other 1. Though I am the mom of these kids and its more typical in mom's to have short term memory problems...Im pretty sure it can happen in men. Your mind is scattered into a gazillion places when you have that new baby at home.....your scared about everything, every pollen in the air, food it eats, dirt on the floor etc..... Give yourself a little time to get settled in and down. I also think you should give yourself a little credit cause like I said this is normally in women or "mommies" so sounds like daddy is chipping in more than the normal dad. Way to go dad!!! (us women could use more men like you :))

See your doctor. Get MRI and CT scans of your brain. There so many possibilities, but it sounds like either you're just getting older or you have a pychiatric disorder.

But the important thing is to see a doctor. You never want to take chances when it comes to your health.

short term memory loss, this is common, but itsn´t normal, it can be something so silly like lack of sleep, or stress but it may also be an indicative of some degree of brain damage go to your doctor to get a check up. good luck

I am a trained Psychiatrist.

I have 25 years of experience

Your writing seems erratic. From what I can tell you have Bipolar II and possibly the onset of Schizophrenia. You may also be suffering from ADD and OCD.
When I see Bipolar and Schizophrenia... I know it. I am an expert.

You need to be admitted to a mental hospital immediately.
Ask them to prescribe you Lithium, Effexor and Rispiridone.

You will likely stay for two months as your case sounds very severe. Be prepared for the nurses to tie you up in restraints. It is a very common thing in mental hospitals. Remember they are only trying to help you.

Once you are released from the hospital it is your responsibility to inform the DMV that you are on medication and you have Schizophrenia. They will have a hearing to asses wether you are a dangerous driver. Do not be surprised if they take away your drivers licence.

I hope that you get the help that you so desperately require.
It can take years to find the right balance of medication. Don't give up. Keep trying new medications until you find the right one.

The medications may make you feel like a zombie and they will probably make you gain forty to fifty pounds but that is a small price to pay.

well since you don't remember maybe you can spend your life locked up in a brain injury ward. they hire nurses to watch you and if you forget where you are they tie you down so you wont wander off.
