I went to a psychiatrist to help me with a mild anxiety problem. I have to give a presentation in front of a hundred people and I am a bit nervous about it.

My psychiatrist put me on:

Olanzapine
Clozapine
Effexor
Wellbutrin
Zyprexa
Rispiridone
Paxil
Zoloft
Valiuum
Trazadone
Serzone
Lithium

He told me that these medications would help my anxiety.

I feel sick all the time. My limbs twitch and I throw up every morning.

Why do I feel sick?

Should I take more medications??

I think you have an agenda here as your previous posts suggest and the list of meds make no sense at all since the problem you described is easily treated with one dose of Inderal. Olanzapine and Zyprexa are one and the same for starters, so I cannot even begin to take you seriously, as a pharmacy would never fill these scripts separately. Take your anti-psychiatry agenda elsewhere please and stop trying to frighten people who are legitimately trying to seek help and those of us who are attempting to respond.

From this list, we can see that you are being over-medicated. Your psychiatrist must feel as if you have more problems than mild anxiety.

Some of these medications will interact with each other, which is not a good thing when it comes to your treatment.

I'd seek a second-opinion regarding my treatment.

Yes, denial to an extent. It's not a bad thing that you are not devastated by this diagnosis.....it shows character and heart to not feel sorry for yourself. Now on the other hand....you need to take your medication seriously!!!!! The doctors are telling you this for a reason.....you need to stay on a schedule or you might start feeling like something is wrong. You don't need that!!!!! Take you meds and keep up that great outlook on life!!!

Olanzapine
Zyprexa

These two drugs are the SAME THING. They may not be used in conjunction with other drugs AT ALL. It is used for treating schizophrenia and other bipolar disorders.

Clozapine

Is for treatment of people who cannot take other drugs for treatment of schizophrenia and suicidal behavior. This is probably to help counter the suicidal effects of Paxil, Zoloft and Trazodone.

Effexor

This is a SNRI antidepressant

Wellbutrin

This is a SNRI, similar to Effexor, but commonly used to help wean people off smoking more than anything else. This is normally used IN PLACE of Effexor, if Effexor does not work or gives a patient bad side effects

Rispiridone

This is normally only used on people aged 65 and older, or treatment of advanced Alzheimers symptoms - schizophrenia, dementia, delusional behavior, psychotic depression or other severe bipolar problems

Paxil

This is an SSRI, the complement to the SNRIs, and used to treat depression and anxiety disorders such as panic attacks. This drug often induces extreme suicidal behvior. It is also used as a male erection enhancement drug as well.

Zoloft

Yet another SSRI, similar to Paxil, used for treatment of depression and anxiety, but this one is also used to treat women for PMDD (a menstrual problem).

Valium

Used to treat anxiety, insomia, and seizures. It is also used to help alchoholics kick their habit as well. In sufficient quantities, Valium is used to create amnesiac episodes in people - it causes them to literally fall asleep during conversations and completely forget where they are and what they were doing and talking about. This is used to help with the seizures induced by the Trazadone.

Trazadone

This is a replacement antidepressant for use for people who have problems with normal SSRIs. This drug enduces seizures in many patients that take it.

Serzone

THIS DRUG IS ILLEGAL TO PRESCRIBE. How you got it is beyond me. What country are you in? Nobody manufactures this drug anymore. It destroys the liver in seconds. This drug is a combination of a SNRI and SSRI, but has severe sexual disfunction side effects associated with it as well.

Lithium

Um, normally you dont get raw lithium - it is usually bound in a compound of some kind or another being being administered. In actuality, this should never be administered in it's raw form outside of a hospital, where it is usually administered by a carefully monitored and controlled blood doping apparatus. What you probably have is Lithium Orotate or Lithium Citrate, which are often used to treat bipolar disorders which involve both mania and depression.

=================

You need to bring this prescription mess to a doctor that can sort out what you have been given and make suggestions for what to remove from the mix. You are taking mixes that include several drugs that duplicate the effects of other drugs, and some drugs that you shouldnt take with anything else at all, and several drugs that are the alternatives to some drugs that you should take either one or the other, but not both at the same time.

And you need to have both that psychiatrist investigated and whoever actually SOLD you the Serzone - you should never have been given this drug.

Umm, why do you feel sick? All those meds have side effects, and most are not only for anxiety.
Clozapine, Rispiradone, and Zyprexa are ANTI-PSYCOTICS.
Lithium is for Bi Polar Disorder.
Effexor, Wellbutrin, Paxil, Zoloft, are Anti-Depressants.
Valium, Trazadone are benzo- seditives
Serizone is an old MAOI Anti-Depressant
You are on WAY TOO MANY MEDS!
CALL YOUR DOCTOR NOW, please. You do not need more meds, you need less, there is no reason for a Psyciatrist in his right mind to give you all these meds, ONE would work. YOU ARE OVERDOSING. If you can not reach your doctor, go to the ER, PLEASE!
