I feel so bad for you because i know exactly how it is, you didnt say if you have a prescrition med for them or if you do it is obviously not working, if you dont have the meds go to a dr to get some, things i have found that help some is to take a hot bath and i mean as hot as you can stand it and then get an icepack and stay in bed -make sure the room is dark and quiet.
you can use one of those gel eye mask also-i hope you can get some relief . also do not drink caffeine.

If you are old enough a seretonin based medication may really help. Your body is deficient of serotonin when you have a migrane. (maybe a Sumatriptan medication)

If not a combination of co-codamol and strong ibruprofen can really help, btw, this is only if paracetemol/aspirin or migraleve don't work first

A hormone found in the brain, platelets, digestive tract, and pineal gland. It acts both as a neurotransmitter (a substance that nerves use to send messages to one another) and a vasoconstrictor (a substance that causes blood vessels to narrow). A lack of serotonin in the brain is thought to be a cause of depression. Also called 5-hydroxytryptamine.

Seretonin affects mood, appetite, sensory perception, sleep ,migranes, depression and memory.

Your doctor should be able to prescribe you a longterm preventative method if this is not the first time you've had migranes.

If you want a herbal remedy try Feverfew. You can always do what I do and that's sleep for a couple of days straight, then they usually don't come back for months.

You can have spells lasting up to a month with migranes, or you can have them daily, they can be caused by stress. Try not drinking red wine, avoid cheese and chocolate, there are plenty more things to avoid just search on google/yahoo.

If you notice other problems such as balance or memory problems and/ or you suffer from epilepsy contact your nearest doctor or hospital it could be a brain tumor.

I used get migranes each and every of the time. different than drugs (ibuprofen is undesirable, yet advil works okay) i might say to bypass to sleep. Do you drink eating regimen soda? I used to constantly drink it and constantly get migranes. i finished eating it and started to drink water rather. Now I basically get migranes whilst i'm under pressure. Drink water once you get a migrane, and devour some thing so which you don't get the disillusioned abdomen that includes it. stable success with you migranes. i understand they suck.

You have my sympathy. I am a migraine sufferer, too. Here's what I know:

Different things trigger migraines in different people. Triggers can be any or all of the following: stress, bright or flashing light, loud noises, hormonal changes, flourescent light bulbs, red wine, cheese, allergens, staring at a computer monitor for hours at a time, chocolate...the list is enormous.

Your doctor can help you narrow down the times you get migraines and the two of you can do the detective work to find out what your specific triggers are. There are prescription meds that work to block migraine pain.

Migraines are so hard to bear. I empathize with you! Topamax may help you...prescription needed by a doctor...

Migraine headache tends to be throbbing and one-sided (typically over the temporal area), and precipitated by certain foods, strong smells, or the menstrual cycle (the ratio of female to male sufferers is 3 to 1). The time of day of onset varies.

Diagnosis is based on symptoms and lack of neurological abnormalities.

Go to a neurologist who can help find the right medicines to control your migraines. Some people also try acupuncture.
