Somehow, I ended up with friends who are somewhat overweight or a sturdy, healthy weight.

I'm very, very thin and tall!
(I'm 5"9 and weigh 110 pounds.)
My friends all tell me I need to gain weight and honestly I think the jealousy is making them mad.

This must sound stuck-up but it's really becoming a problem here!

P.S. "Maybe they're not your real friends" is NOT an option!

Honestly, 110 at 5'9" really is too skinny. 110 is an ideal weight for someone 5'2', like me - and I've had real reason to verify this due to diabetes in the family. But if you are not doing anything purposely to be this way, and are healthy, see a doctor and prove it to them. With that weight and your height, they do have reason to be concerned if they are real friends, so don't be so hard on them.

I just randomly pulled up some online weight calculators, entered your weight and height, put "small" for your frame, and got numbers between 138 and 160 for your ideal weight. This is why your friends are worried. Like I said, if you're healthy, no problem. I've known a few people like this.

I used to be 5'9" and 110 until I was about 22, now I am 140#. The thing is, people tend to bring up things a lot when they notice them, and the fact that your friends are self-conscious about being overweight perhaps, might make them bring up your skininess more often. It's annoying, but it is all their insecurity (easy to say, hard to not let it bother you).

You are setting eating patterns that you will have the rest of your life. My grandma used to be VERY skinny and then people told her to eat, and she did and never stopped and now she is heavy. I was skinny, but around 23-24, I started to fill out and I am still thin because I've learned to eat and exercise correctly.

Since you don't have an option to ditch those friends, you can ignore them or back them off. You can back them off aggressively or in a kind way, and use your judgement to figure out which'll work the best. Good luck!

Note:
I feel like I need to add, if you aren't a healthy 110# and menstruating normally, then please go get help. Disregard this if you are healthy and menstruating normally.

I have a problem with that , and if you try gaining weight it's just going to give you like a little belly.. I already tried and now i'm kind of big... This girl say to be "Girl you so bony" and the doctor told me i was at the right weight, and then once you watch Dr.phil that's really fat ... Just stay the way you are, and for the boy who said he like's meat... not all boys like that you either have to a big butt, or a pretty face.
So.. don't be insecure.. i have probs. like that but they are just jealous, just tell them striaght out stop hating and getting jealous..
Hope I helped you..

I used to get that all the time. It was really annoying. Why do people think it is okay to comment on the body of a skinny person but not of an overweight person?

the same thing happens to me. i am stinking skinny and everyone thinks i am skinnier than a tooth pick. and that my legs are skinny 2. but i just deal with it. people are jealous thats why. it doesnt really matter wat they think. its only about u. if their fat thats their problem. just say to back off. if they do phisical violence tell them that you are skinny and thats that. They probably hang out with u 2 get the boys. then soon they got sick and tired of it. THATS THEIR PROBLEM!!!!
