Im doing a report for english class and need 2 examples in history that go with the quote 'A small leak can sink a great ship.'. Im interprating this quote to that when one small thing can happen, which can cause something on a much greater scale to happen. Could someone please help me think of 2 historical examples to go with this idea?

#1 Watergate - Nixon A small break-in at the Watergate Hotel eventually took down the entire administration and
President Nixon. Has to be the classic example.

#2 Al Capone, the Chicago gangster: easy: he never got caught doing murders, graft, robbery, and such; he forgot to do his taxes! Wow! what a dumb CPA he had!

Good question!
