It means that it is a wiser course to do a thing now and get it out of the way, while it is still possible to do so. Tomorow there may be a problem and it will no longer be possible.

Just as everyone else said, do a job that needs doing NOW, don't put it off. Something may come up where you can't do it later. The longer it goes without getting fixed, the worse it will get, then you'll really have a problem. Besides if you do it now, you don't have to worry about it anymore.

it would mean that do your work the day u get it and not leave it formorrow if u put it off till tommorrow u will end up not having time to do the work u have to do morrow.and so on it will go that finally ull die leaving that days work incomplete having done only the previous days work

Just as it says: If you think of it today, do it today instead of tomorrow. The sooner, the better.
