How much time is long enough? I've known some less than an hour and others for years. What is your recommendation?

Are you both consenting adults?
Are you NOT already in a relationship?
Are you practicing safe sex (condoms) ?

If you meet all the above standards, then- why not?
Go as fast, and as often, as you (and they) like.

A long long long time. I am not trying to sound old fashioned because in many ways I am quite progressive in my thinking but there is good reason to take it really slow. First off sex shouldn't be taken lightly although many times it is in today's world. But when you take it seriously it means so much more to both parties. Another reason is when you have sex, I know it feels good but wow...the consequenses can be far reaching. For instance girls view sex much differently than many guys and we guys should probably take a lesson from the girls. Do you know how many times a couple who are dating will decide to have sex but they both attach way different meanings to it...the girl most times thnks it means a commitment to some degree in that she is giving of herself of something that is so personal and she would only do that with someone she is thinking is feeling and wanting the same exclucivtivity. Unfortunaltely many guys aren't on the same page so after its over, or after a number of times many hurt feelings manifest themselves because the guy wasn't really wanting to be exclusive to the girl yet the girl thought that. Hardly fair to her right? And then there is the whole what if she gets pregnant thing and what a mess that becomes because if the two of you don't stay together then the only victim out of all that is the kid that never had a say as to whether he had a two parent home and I could go on and on and on and on but hopefully you have the gist...Good Luck!

That depends on the person. Some are the one-night fling type and others aren't. I think you know the difference, and just because the time from meeting them to sex might have been short doesn't mean that they are bad people. Simply put must women know what they want immediately and the majority of them like the chase before they play.

There isn't a time limit, It's when the two of you are ready to take the relationship to that level. It could be 1 day or 15 years. There is no right or wrong answer.

I'm kinda with you, brother - I've had amazing sex with someone I'd just met - no names, no anything, just strong sexual attraction. But there are some I've known for a few months before anything happened.
To each their own!
Aloha!!
