Don't you hate people who are very vain? This is how bad my ex is. He looks in the mirror all the time, he will even look past you as he is talking to you if there is a mirror behind you. He whitens his teeth. He would not get his portait done because he does not want to see himself as aging. He also still thinks that he is going to be a rock star one day. He is 41. And all he likes to talk about is Jimmy Hendrix, and guitar solos.He does not want the responsibility of raising our children everyday, he sees them every other weekend. And when he left me after 14 years together he said that he was just not into me anymore because I gained 25 pounds. I was very skinny before, I am not fat now but to him it is. He also told me that he did not want to be with a brunette anymore, which I am, he wanted to be with a blond. Is that vain and shallow or what?

Just sounds like the guy is still trying to prove he is something he isn't and doesn't care who he hurts in the process. Sounds like you have a lot going for you so why not get on with your life and enjoy it instead of letting some jerk ruin it for you. It could also be a case of male menopause....again, turns the guy into a jerk because he doesn't really know what he wants until it's too late. Hope you find happiness.

You might think he is vain and/or shallow, but he is really insecure most likely about him aging, so he is projecting it on to you. If you love and care about someone you accept them how they are, which he didn't, sound like a person I wouldn't like to be dealing with. Good luck girl!!!

If he is you ex, Why are you so worried about the past ?.. Move on and forget about it ....
People live and learn .., you can't move on if you keep holding these hang ups about your ex.
