Okay...my cat is a little over 4 years old...and she has been pregnant 4 times...so we took her to get nuetered/spade...but me and my family really do think she might be pregnant...and we went to the vet who spade her and they say that it is impossible that she is pregnant because they took out her uteris....but do you think there is a possibility that they could of messed up in surgery and took out the wrong thing??? or could she have an infection that makes her look pregnant???...and what can we do about the vet people if they did mess up???

Nope, not possible. There is no way the vet could have "took out the wrong thing" as there is nothing else inside a female cat that looks like a uterus and ovaries.
If you think your vet "messed up" you should seek a second opinion at another vet , a simple exam and blood test should let you know.
You didn't say how long ago the spay was. If it was more than 63-65 days, she definitely is not pregnant since that is the gestation period for cats.

There is no possible way the vet could have screwed up this surgery. I work with a Humane Society and we do spays all the time as part of our services - it is the most basic surgery vets do - and they can do them asleep with one hand tied behind their back. A vet wouldn't be practicing long if he couldn't pull this one off. So I really seriously doubt there's any chance the vet screwed up.
And if the cat is spayed, there is 0% chnace the cat is pregnant.
Have the cat checked out by the vet to make sure that there is no other health problem.

no way shes pregnant. I highly doubt that a vet would make a mistake like that. I am a vet assistant and i c these operations 6 days a week. Once ur cat is spayed there is no chance she can get pregnant, she can have a phantom pregnancy EG(nursing a favourite toy) but thats about it. as for infections i reccomend u ask your vet about a blood test to confirm that everything is ok
hope this was helpful for u.

sure, cats could be spayed on a similar time as pregnant, and that's the kindest factor to do. Do you have any thought what number already born, lovable and purring kittens are killed on a regular basis in shelters this time of year from each and all of the unplanned litters? There are not even close to to adequate residences for each and all of the kittens that the shelters are overwhelmed with, and all of those surplus kittens are killed to make room for further and extra and greater. This time of year shelters ought to euthanize quite a few days a week to maintain up with each and all of the cats and kittens that are being dropped off on a regular basis. there is greater to having kittens than merely letting nature take this is direction. the end result isn't chuffed. Kittens are nonetheless born, the mother could have problems (a visit to the emergency vet for a c-area transport can fee as much as $2700). mom could take one look on the infants, and settle directly to no longer feed them, leaving you to nurse them around-the-clock each 2 hours for weeks. and then what - you will have 4, 5, or 6 kittens to take to the vet for worming and vaccines, and then locate residences for them. maximum vets will spay a pregnant cat, yet some won't. If yours won't, then call the community shelters to get some techniques. the individuals who're in charge for the euthanization of all those already-born kittens don't have the comparable matters with spaying a pregnant cat that some inner maximum practice vets do.

We had one of our younger cats spayed after her first litter and I was thinking just the other day that she looks pregnant again. But, like others have pointed out.... they take out the cat's entire uterus. Some cats just get fat after being spayed or neutered. I have three spayed females. One is still skinny as a board and the other two are getting huger than houses. If she isn't showing any signs of sickness (any discharge from the incision area, or other areas, lethargy, etc.) she's just putting on spayed weight.

A cat's uterus doesn't look like anything else inside her belly - so I seriously doubt they made any mistake there. When you went to the vet who spayed her, did you bring her with you? Did they do an exam? Or, if you don't trust that vet, take your cat to another one. Get an X-ray done if you want to pay for it (they're not cheap) to prove which organ's gone if you *really* don't trust the first vet, and you'll see that if they took out anything, it was the uterus - there's not really anything else in that area your cat can live without!

After cats are spayed, they quite often gain weight. Their hormones cause this, and it's quite normal.
I highly doubt your vet made a mistake and took out the wrong thing. I've assisted with several spayings and I can guarantee your vet knows just what he's doing.

If it is any comfort, my cat was spayed and ever since, it got a bit over weight with a sagging belly. Although she looked pregnant for many years it was just an illusion.....My cat is now 12 years old and a lot thinner after being on a diet but her belly still sags (somewhat like mine) with no ill effects.

If she has been spayed, it is impossible that she is pregnant... and I don't think a vet will make a mistake or confuse a uterus with something else. But is you are very much indoubt, demand an ultrasound.

Look there is no possible way that the vet can screw up this sergery. Did the cat have a shaved belly when it came home, did it have stiiches?? Maybe you cat has worms or maybe you should take it to the vets for a check up!!
