Why do so many women shave their privates?

I prefer a natural girl but so many are shaved these days. I would like to ask before we romp but there's no polite way to bring the subject up.

These days, I wax instead of shaving. I dislike skin irritation from razor more than the momentary discomfort of waxing. But this doesn't answer your question why. The biggest reason is simply because my bf asked me to. He says it turns him on and makes it more pleasant for him when he performs oral on me. That's pretty much all the incentive I need. As a practical matter, I wax for binikis anyway. So it's not like it's completely foreign.

If you like your gf to be natural, I'm sure she will be happy to accommodate you. It is less hassel and less painful, afterall. When you get to that point of intimacy in your relationship, tell her your likes and dislikes. Be open to hear what she likes, and I'm sure she'll be open to hear what you like. Hair grows back. It's not like if someone shaves or waxes it once, it's gone forever.

Not all of us shave, some wax.

I think it's because we want to prevent the embarassing and inevitable "hair in the mouth" incident. It's not like we enjoy razor irritation or waxing, it's painful, not to mention a hassle. I would prefer to be natural, but, judging from countless pornos and gentlemen's magazines, it seems that's what guys like.
