There is an old legend that St. Ignaceous, Bishop of Antioch, prayed the Jesus Prayer so often that the name of Jesus Christ was written in gold in his heart. He was taken to Rome and sacrificed to the lions. He went willingly for the love of Jesus Christ. After the sacrifice, his fellow Christians went into the arena to collect any remains that might be left. They found his bones and his heart. When they cut open his heart, indeed, the name of Jesus Christ was inscribed in gold inside his heart. I cannot say that my heart would ever be as good as that of St. Ignaceous, but that's what I would like it to be.
There is also a legend that St. Ignaceous was the little child who sat on Jesus' lap when Jesus told His apostles that the greatest in Heaven were like that little child. It is said that St. Ignaceous never forgot this. Who could forget such a wonderful happening?
The Jesus Prayer that St. Ignaceous prayed is this: "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner".
