teach her the commands "leave it" and "release".

Then when she tries to attack a small animal you say leave it and she will find something else to chew on. Also give her lots of toys and bones.

By teaching release, if she bites something she is not supposed to you just have to say release and she will let go.

Sounds like she just needs some more training.

Good luck.

You need to train it not to do this. I trained my cat not to eat small furry creatures and birds with gentle positive reinforcement. Now he lies under the neighbour's bird feeder and the birds even land on him. My hamster will cuddle with this cat and the cat cleans the hamster(licks it) and then the hamster crawls on his back and they fall asleep together. Since dogs are easier to train than cats, this should be doable. However this requires spending time with your dog, and only taking him on a leash when you go out, so you can modify his behaviour, when a situation arises. If you don't have the time to spend in doing this, I suggest a trainer. If your resources are slim, you should give the dog to someone with more time (or money) to modify his behaviour.

Get her more training. Pit, Great Dane will be a handfull.

Please get her trained before someone views her as a threat to them or their pet and she ends up getting hurt.

I would suggest giving your cat to someone else or giving the dog to someone who doesn't have a cat. If you keep both, eventually you'll have to deal with a dead cat, and the knowledge that you could have prevented it.
