Is it better to run 2 500 watt amplifiers or one 1000 watt amplifier? And is it ok to run 3 seperate wires from the battery of the car? Or should I use a distribution block?

I would need three for the two amps for my subs and one for the amp powering my 4 components

It would be better to run two 500 watt amps. This is because of the impedance loading. Each amp would need to push 500 watts at 4 ohms for better sound quality and longer life span due to the lack of excessive heat. The 1000 watt amp would most likely be loaded to 2 ohms which results in more heat and higher THD (total harmonic distortion) levels. Be sure the watts RMS match between sub and amp and that the amp is CEA-2006 compliant.

As far as the wiring you could do either:

Running three wires means you have to have three fuses and trying to fit all three wires down the side of the vehicle.

With a distrobution block you only run one wire which will need to be twice the wire size between it and the battery then running the correct gauge wire from the distro. block to each amp (for both amps).

I'm not sure why you'd need three as the ground is wired to the chassis of the vehicle.
