If you get anything pierced and take it out it will close up. Nose rings being the exception you can change the jewelry after 4-6 weeks but you still have to keep jewelry in the hole. It is recommended to keep body jewelry in for a year to ensure that the hole stays open. I took out my monroe piercing for 20 minutes after having it pierced for 6 months and it closed up enough that i couldn't force the jewelry back in the hole and after a couple days it completely closed up. It depends but i think for the most part people tend to scar but little ones unless it get infected. If you are doing it to see how it would look, I suggest getting a fake hoop to place on your lip so you can see if you like it. If you are trying to hide it from your parents, unfortunately facial piercings aren't the best things to hide in in fact i think people always notice them.

When you decide to get any piercing there is a chance that it can scar and the whole will close but then also there is a chance that it won't close or scar. The hole can shrink down in size. Personally i have my labret done and i took it out over 6 months ago and i have no scaring and the hole is still there it just got smaller

Why would you get your lip pierced and then take it out? That to me makes no sense. Either don't pierce it or don't take it out if you do. You will have a scar and the hole will close, but why put yourself through that if you're not gonna keep it.

Unless you have one for a very long time it will close within an hour, and the scar will heal very well, it will just look like you have a pimple for a little bit, but after that it wont be noticeable at all unless you look for it. Don't listen to all these people saying you will have a perma hole in your lip, you won't.

Yes the hole will close. How long that takes really depends on how you heal, I can't give you an estimate on that, sorry.

Yes it will scar, but it should be no worse than a tiny white dot that will fade over time. It won't be too noticeable and if you're really concerned about people seeing it, put make up on it.

Whether or not it will close depends on how long you have had it. If you've only had it like a week and it's not healed it will definitely close up. If you've had it for months or years like I've had mine...you should be able to leave it out for a while. It all depends on the length that you've had it. I wouldn't suggest taking it out right after you get it unless u like wasting your money. And it will leave a small scar. But barely noticeable.

Probably, I had my belly button pierced and I took it out over 3 years ago and there is still a scar where it was!! It will fade though and with make up be pretty unnoticable.

Depending on how long you've had it, it may close. It will shrink if it doesn't close. You will have a scar, it should be small and not too noticable, but it will leave a scar

Yes it will close and it may scar. Mine closed fast and I have a tiny scar but you really have to look for it and I have to hold my lip in a certain way to see it.

I had my labret done.
