In the movie 'The Pursuit of Happiness' Will Smith chose to take his son with him instead of giving the mother custody while he got his finances together. Do you think he made a wrong decision?

Didnt the mother leave the boy first? I think he had every right to take his son if thats the case.

In the movie the mother didn't really want her son. If she had really cared she would have stayed near by, don't you think?
I think that the movie was great and the father did the best he could without walking out on his son!

She actually left her son at first, so he definetly did the right thing. She came back later and wanted him back.
