(okay, I beleive I have taken care of the jokesters who will quote song lyrics...)
Does anyone else find it ironic that Christian Republicans that are running for President are the most morally bankrupt of the lot?? These are the same people attempting to protect the "sanctity" of marriage - yet they cant even protect the sanctity of their own marriages: Gingrich - three times married, recently revealed that he had an extramarital affair with his current wife. Rudy Guliani - three times married, cheated on second wife with third wife, and is estranged from his son (remember those ads with his second wife, claiming Rudy is "such a good father to his children?"). Senator Mcain - twice married.
What makes it even more ironic is that the few people that are running that ARENT morally bankrupt will never be elected by this country: Mitt Romney - Mormon, happily married, great kids. H. Clinton - married only once, Methodist.

I'm not a Christian at all but still disagree with most points of the Liberal agenda.
Einstein was a philandering divorcee also but his personal life had nothing to do with his scientific life. Should we discredit his theory of relativity because of his "moral bankruptcy"? No..

I totally find that ironic. Like raaaaiaaaaaaiin on your wedding day.
But for real, I think this is a wakeup call to people. What is really more important to them? Someones religion, or how their beliefs have shaped their lives, and, most importantly, what are their opinions?. Especially in the case of Mitt Romney. He is Mormon, and I think 60% of people said they would never vote for someone who is Mormon. However, he was a republican governor in Massachusetts, traditionally a "blue" state. And look at how great his family is! He must be doing something right.
And while Giuliani is a great politician, his personal life lie in shambles on the floor. He did great things in NYC, even before 9/11. But this controversy over his personal life could be his downfall

Mitt Romney is republican right? Not sure if he'd democrat or republican. I think I'd vote for him, but I have to look into him a little more first.
Oh, and you're right about the whole keeping the sanctity of marriage....but homosexuality goes further than that. Why counter a wrong w/ another wrong? Why counter divorce w/ homosexuality? Remember, 2 wrongs don't make a right.
God bless.

I agree. Romney has good family values, actually though most do not want to hear it, most LDS who are not extremists do have good family values. Romney just won't get my vote because I saw what he butchered as governor of Mass. and that is the only reason.
The only reason the right wants these people, even though they have done everything they claim to hate, is because they spout the right words they want to hear. That's the only reason dubya got in.

What I find ironic about Gingrich is he was prosecuting Clinton for Lewinsky while having an affair at the same time

It is not ironic at all when you take history into consideration and you find that most politicians are hypocrites and the religious ones are even worst. I give you credit for naming a few but the list is endless.

I agree. But Bible thumpers in general tend to be the least moral. And don't let Romney fool you. He may look the part but he is a huge hypocrite - 'for' or 'against' whatever he thinks will get him the votes.

And the right-wing's demigod, Ronald Reagan, wasn't so holy either: Nancy was three months pregnant when they got married. And he was divorced, too (he married Jane Wyman first). Nobody's perfect, and Clinton was certainly no saint, but at least when he lied to us, 3,000 Americans didn't die.

They'll ignore all the wrong doing by the right wingers. As long as they spout the same hatred and intolerance, the fundies will vote for them. It's called hypocrisy, and religious people are very good at it.
Atheism. You know it makes sense.

This sounds completely absurd. those psychotic people might desire to have been later on warp lower back to a 1950's sci-fi action picture and had some myth that chemical conflict can magically turn people gay. Jeeezuz. This must be a shaggy dog tale. no person could be this stupid. possibly they're going to develop a bomb that they are able to drop which will miraculously make those people clever.
