I need to tell my parents about a detention and a bad report card because of it.?

tell them the truth, dont lie. but this semester try as hard as you can.Show them you can get good grades by going to an after school session(if your school has any) and by being good in class and not getting any detentions.

I can't imagine detention causes bad grades. It's time ot tell the truth, I am sure there will be consequences but you will feel better getting it over with.

I don't know the reasons why you have had this happen, whether it be boredom, not paying attention in class, or whaterver. Best thing to do is own up to it and have a frank and candid talk with your parents about why it happened and where you feel you need help. But don't feel guilty about it, because it may not be your fault !

i would just tell them that you tried hard this semester, but it was the teachers fault. about detention just tell them the reason, and be hopeful they dont care too much

well just tell your mom\dad whoever you feel more comfartable talking to and tell them you will try to get your grades up and that you get in trouble again thats what i say
but end up getting bad grades and in trouble over and over

just come out with it... dont beat around the bush... and then have a plan or list of things u are going to do to improve it.

Honesty... just tell em what happened don't lie, just lay it all out there. And, if you are sorry about what happened apologize. If you're not sorry, don't. Just be honest.
