Probably yes depending on what state your in. when you go to court just explain that you were not intentionally running the light. Tell them u initially intended to stop at the store/gas station or whatever the lot was that you drove through. Perhaps you need air in your tires but at the last minute decided not to stop. try that. Good luck

You can avoid the point if you go to traffic school. The insurance company will not be notified. However, you still have to pay the fine.

In most states this is a minor moving violation. It may or may not carrry points. Call your state's DMV to find out. An atty. can probably help you if it does. Good luck.

What were you charged with? It doesn't sound like a very serious violation; in my state, I don't think you would get points. But maybe there's more to it than you have described?

dude...go to court...tell the judge you were going to a store real quick to get something in that parking lot, and tell him as you pulled into the parking lot you forgot your credit card or money... or if there's no store, tell him that you were gonna meet someone there, but didnt see their car..
