Hey buddy,
Just so you know taking care of a dog is a big responsibility but you seem to already know that.
Unfortunately your pleas that you can take care of the puppy and that your mom and dad wont be stuck with the responsibility have been used by every kid who has ever wanted a dog and had to convince their parents. So dont be too upset that they dont believe you they are just going by experience.
That being said, what can you do besides beg? Well for starters, try doing things without being told. Keep your room clean, take out the trash, etc. If you can show your parents that you are resposible they may be more willing to believe you are resposible enough to own a dog and that they wont get stuck with the resposibility.
Also, since you can beg (not that I would recommend begging to begin with) dont , but dont forget to remind them every once in a while that you want a dog. Ask for a dog for your birthday, christmas (or other holiday in which gifts are exchanged), etc. This way they know you still want a dog but your not begging and they see you are responsible... It will make it easier for them to agree to a dog for you
Hope that helps!

I agree begging won't work anyway.
The thing is, you are 12 and in about 6 years you'll be going to college or getting a job and moving out on your own and you mostly likely won't be able to take the dog with you, at least not at first. Dogs live 10-15 years usually, so your parents know that it will end up being their dog. Dogs are a lot of work and they are expensive. No dog should have to live with people who don't want it, and your parents really don't want one.
It's a bummer, but you may have to wait until you're on your own and can get one yourself.

You need to show your parents that you are responsible enough to take care of a dog. Show them that you can do this by always doing your chores without them having to ask you, even going above and beyond what you are supposed to do. Complete things on time or before, like homework assignments, etc. Offer to help your parents out, for example helping your mom with dinner or helping dad while he fixing the car. Once you show them that you can be responsible, have a reasonable conversation with them. Tell them why you want a dog, what you will do to train and be prepared to back up your argument with pro's and cons. make a list to show them how serious you are about wanting one and being able to take care of one. Good luck!

To show them that you are responsible, start doing extra chores around the house, vacuuming, dishes, and so on. Do your homework without being asked.
Another thing is many years ago, I read an article about this kid that wanted a dog, same situation as you. So he started to pretend that he had a dog, he would walk it feed it and so on. Then one day he came home from school and there was a real dog. He had proven to his parents that he could take care for a dog.

I think that you should try to prove to your parents that you can be responsible for a pet.
Tell them that you want them to give you a task that will help them measure your level of responsibility. For example promise your parents that you will take over one of the household chores. Ask your parents to set a goal for you regarding this chore. Once you have performed this goal up to your parent's expectations, they may re-evaluate your ability to take care of a pet.
You may also want to ask your parents if you can start out with a smaller pet like a fish. If you can prove to your parents that you are willing to keep the fish bowl clean, feed the fish everyday, etc. maybe they would be willing to allow you to get a dog.
Keep in mind that dogs can be expensive to care for. In addition to providing food and water, you must get a license and annual shots. If your dog gets hurt or sick you have to take him to the vet.
Maybe if you tell your parents that you are willing to mow lawns, babysit, get a paper route to assist with the expenses involved in owning a dog, they might feel that you are mature enough to have one.
I think that the main thing you need to do in order to convince your parents that you are ready to have a pet of your own is to prove that you can be mature and responsible enough to take care of a dog. You need to convince your parents that you won't lose interest in the dog or allow the dog to become an extra burden on your parents.
Instead of just asking your parents if you can have a dog, talk to them about their concerns and offer them genuine solutions that will allow them to reconsider their decision. Good luck!

Coming from a parent, I can say, Of course you are going to say you'll take care of it, but chances are you are going to lose interest in it. What you could do, is ask your parents if there is something else you can do for a while to prove to them that you can stick in there with the responsibilties of having a dog. You could offer to walk and take care of dogs in the neighborhood for a while, that way you can make some cash and show your parents you can do it.

you could get a smaller pet for now and show how responsible you are, or talk about the good things about the pet, like loyal fun playful just good things about it. say youll pay for some of the food and stuff.

You need to ask them what you can do to show them you can be responsible. Once you show them you can be responsible perhaps they'll let you get a pet. Pets are a lot of work.

Gosh, for a kid you have quite a strange taste for nicknames. If I were you, I'd create my own invisible dog. Invisible pets are fine, you don't have to feed them, they don't bite, they are silent, they don't run away, they don't go to the dog pound, you won't have to fear allergies, they don't get rabbies or **** the floor.
