You need to pray...Just when it feels like it's at it's worse...It will get better...Do not give up on yourself...Set some goals and reach a few...Don't settle on anything...You can fight this

Please look at a site called www.suicidehotlines.com. It lists numbers for every state. Maybe calling and talking to a stranger will make you able to open up. Are you on medication for your depression? If not - RUN don't walk to your nearest physician or medical clinic. There are some very good medications that can help you get through this rough patch. Then, set up regular appointments with a counselor you can trust. Sometimes you have to try several before you find someone you click with. Whatever you do - DON'T go through suicide. I lost a 24 year old nephew to this two weeks ago. Had he known the devastating effect it would have on his brothers, father, and grandparents - he never would have considered taking that way out. But - when you are depressed - you are not thinking clearly. He too didn't like talking to counselors and refused to get help. Please make that call to your doctor NOW!

well it sounds like you have a combo going. The depresion is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. The bad things the happened to you certainly don't help with that. The OCD is possibly connected. I would suggest meds for the chemical imbalance. Then look into some sort of therapy to get past the other stuff. It will get better it just takes work and time. Be strong and good luck.

With any pattern of things we deal with as children it takes a lot of support and as you said trust to deal with these issues you faced as a child. Often I find that people are raised a certain way and that is what they have come to accept from life.

While my situation is not like yours I was raised a certain way with bad parenting which taught me no real work or school values. no money values and it really hurt me a lot in life with an addictive nature. What helped me was my wife and a friend network who related and were supportive.

I don't think you can go through things like you are dealing with alone. I would suggest a support group and look for new friends who can relate and have dealt with issues in their lives so they understand and can help when things are tough.

Good Luck, hope this helped!

deppression is a real disease and needs to be treated sometimes it can take years to find the right treatment. But I need for you not to give up. you should be seeing a therapist and a doctor. We here are here for you . We don't want to hurt you only help you. If anyone says anything bad on here then lets report them for abuse. lets all stick together and try to give this person everything we can. I know nothing about the movie the first person talked about but please watch it. I am trusting them to do everything they can for you. maybe I will watch it too.

If you don't feel you can talk to your parent(s), try a school counselor or pastor of a local church. You have to tell someone what is happening in your life. I can understand having trust issues... I have some myself, but there are still people who will help you and reach out to you. Please don't continue to harm yourself. That's not helping your situation. You're obviously in emotional pain, don't add physical pain to it.

One thing about depression is the more you dwell on it the worse it becomes. I would suggest a program called Attacking anxiety and depression. Its a wonderful program I used. They are on the internet at attackinganxiety.com.
